Parking Citation Appeal

A driver or owner of a vehicle issued a parking violation may request an administrative review of the parking violation by completing this form.  Such request shall be completed within twenty (15) calendar days from the date the parking ticket was issued.  Failure to request and complete such review within the 15-day period waives your opportunity for an administrative review.  Such appeal is reviewed by the Chief of Police with determination based on the defenses or mitigating circumstances set forth on the review request.  The Chief of Police may dismiss any parking ticket for good cause and any fine monies paid towards the reviewed parking violation shall be refunded, less any unpaid parking fines then owing by the driver or owner charged.

Before you file an appeal, the following reasons, by themselves, do not constitute grounds for voiding a parking citation: 1) Lack of knowledge of parking regulations or signage. 2) Attendance at an event or personal appointment. 3) Time constraints or running late. 4) Belief that others were not cited. 5) Prior non-enforcement at the same location. 6) Informal permission from non-authorized persons. 7) Weather, convenience, or short duration of parking.
