McGregor Winter Parking Restrictions

With winter quickly approaching, we would like to remind you of the winter parking restrictions within the cities of Marquette and McGregor.  The following restriction will go into effect on November 1, 2019, and will continue through March 31, 2020.  Questions may be directed to the police department or city hall.

City parking lots are available on a first come basis and located on Front Street (24 hour limit), 1st Street (72 hour limit), the corner of Main and B Street (24 hour limit), and immediately east of the Silver Dollar on Main Street (24 hour limit).

(69.13) Parking is prohibited as follows:

  • Garnavillo Avenue.
  • Main Street between 2:00 am and 8:00 am as follows:
    • North side of the road (even numbered address) on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings.
    • South side of the road (odd numbered address) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
  • A Street (between Main and Ann Street):
    • East side of the road (even numbered address) on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings.
    • West side of the road (odd numbered address) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
  • Triangle Park (A / Dr. Smith Street and 1st Street):
    • For a period of 48 hours after cessation of receiving two inches of snow.
  • 4th Street (between Main and Ann Street):
    • For a period of 48 hours after cessation of receiving two inches of snow.
  • SNOW EMERGENCY
    • Parking is prohibited on ALL city streets immediately upon declaration and will continue for 48 hours after cessation of a winter storm.
    • A Snow Emergency declaration will be published online and through local media.

Violating a winter parking restriction may result in a fine, vehicle impoundment, and/or both.
